Beautiful and peaceful. We appreciate your commitment to the natural world.
Amazing scenery. Celebration package well worth the money - copious amounts of food, loved the little touches. Oh and the massage was fantastic!
The Wilsons at Driftwood
Cannot fault. One of the best accommodation places we've ever stayed in. So private and peaceful. Owners very welcoming and a delight to deal with.

Awesome! Thanks! Canoe paddle is a must on the lake as well as up the creeks. So many birds, fish and rays.
Thank you for an amazing weekend stay. I could live permanently it is soo beautiful.
We just wanted to say a BIG thank you.
Our stay was wonderful. The Studio Lakehouse was fantastic, picture perfect views,
the jetty by the lakeside was amazing, the canoe was a fantastic experience, the lakehouse
was spotless, clean and honestly felt like a home away from home. The fire place was amazing
and definately our new favourite winter home away from home. We wanted a relaxing time away
and that is exactly what we had. The brekky treats were also wonderful. Our stay was a pleasant
experience and from the very first phone call the experience was positive. I have come back to work
and forwarded your website to a few collegues with a high recommendation to stay because we had
such a wonderful time.

We had the most amazing weekend. It is the most beautiful place and waking up to the sun rising over the lake, only made us want to stay longer.
We really enjoyed fishing on the lake - despite not catching anything it was a fantastic experience and one which neither of us will ever forget. Our Chicken BBQ Hamper was fantastic. Thanks very much for your hospitality. We will definitely see Eumarella Shores again in the (hopefully - very near) future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Lakehouse - Studio. We were pleasantly surprised by how complete and comfortable the lakehouse was, from the fully stocked pantry and fridge (muesli, yoghurt, croissants and other basics) to the mosquito repellent and also the wood for the fire. I loved having candles burning and getting cosy with a blanket and my ipad. You had thought of everything. We were very comfortable and were able to relax the whole weekend. We will definitely be back.

I loved everything about our deluxe cottage Treetops, it was amazing! The view is breath taking and so much wildlife. I wish this was my home. I loved all the food provided, you really go the extra mile.

Gorgeous, well designed lakehouse. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake and dining on the verandah. This is a great spot - the sound of the waves lapping the shore is very soothing. We did the mountain bike ride to Peregian Beach and enjoyed walking along the trail within the property. We loved the wild life - saw a Jabiru, Stingrays and Kangaroos.

Beautiful tranquil surroundings. Sensitive, well-appointed facilities (what lovely, well built architecture!) The Studio in particular was very cosy - great colour scheme! Lovely staff! We're both creative, artistic people and responded to the environment! Inspired! We'll hope to return soon.
This place is magic! I arrived stressed, unable to sleep and now leave a new person. This is a place for renewal and healing. Thank you - it was fabulous.

Words can't describe how perfect our weekend was. Accommodation is just amazing, as is the view! Thank you so much for making our anniversary all the more special - from the perfect pavilion to organising our flowers. We can't wait to come back.

This tops our previous best cabin stay at Cradle Mountain. We are definitely coming back for a longer stay
We left Eumarella on Friday after a WONDERFUL week. We made the most of the glorious weather and were out on the lake most days - either in the canoe provided or our own kayak. And we finally made it into Peregian on our bikes. That French patisserie tucked around the corner is to die for! Thankyou for a wonderful location which gave us so much rest and renewal.

We found the environment, the staff, the cottage and food wonderful - this is our first trip to Australia. We've been here for two weeks, and this has been our high point. Beautiful and peaceful

From the minute we entered the lakehouse it automatically felt like home. What a beautiful place with beautiful views and amazing lake breeze. We really don't want to leave and go back to work. This place is so relaxing and beautiful. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to experience this. We'll definitely be back after we brush up on our canoe skills!!
Thank you for the most soul restoring facilities. It has been a pleasure to be here amidst the loveliness of nature. We will recommend these facilities to the people who come accross our path at the university.
Lovely, atmosphere. Great interior. Thank you for making our stay most enjoyable and highly relaxing. I work in the hotel industry and your facilities beat a 5 star!

If you are looking for comfort and escape into the natural world, this is it. The cabins are beautifully designed, built and maintained, and well spaced out around the shores of the enormous and (while we were there) serene Lake Weyba - canoe provided. Deep in a forest which is being sensitively protected, it's the perfect place for unwinding and reconnecting with all the important stuff that gets forgotten in the routines most of us have to live by. The entire family loved it unreservedly. Australia has been amazing adventure for us pallid Brits. We've done most things tourists are supposed to do - been up close and personal with whales in Hervey Bay, swum with mantra rays on Lady Elliott Island and it has all been glorious. But the 4 days we had at Eumarella Shores was a real highlight and I'm sure it will be one of the most compelling voices calling us back from grubby old Europe. Thanks and best wishes.
We had a great time when we were there. Sitting on the deck and the dock was so relaxing. The house was wonderful. The people at the front office were very friendly and very helpful. I give it an A+.

Had a fantastic time, quickly remembered why this beautiful place was ideal to propose to my wife 15 years ago. Thank you for your hospitality. Love this place.
A truly magnificent place to stay. Accommodation is perfect in every way. Well done! Partner had the best massage she has ever had. Thankyou!
Enjoyed every single moment. Just a beautiful, beautiful place to relax. I read books I haven't had time to read. Watched movies I've always wanted to watch. Thanks for creating such a nice place for the guest.
Just lovely - views, atmosphere - such a sense of peace and tranquillity. We'll definitely be back. The canoe was a wonderful bonus and gave us many hours of fun, adventure and discovery. Thanks so much. Please keep being guardians of your native forest. It really is a national treasure and I hope it is around for many, many generations to come.

Our expectations were surpassed - the most beautiful, relaxing, tranquil and highly furnished and equipped accommodation. In addition the complimentary products, Christmas Hamper and wine were greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for providing such a wonerful venue that allowed the most fantastic holiday. We will definitely return and highly recommend Eumarella Shores to our family and friends.
Right from the beginning we felt very good at Eumarella Shores. The reception staff were very friendly, smiling and informative and "our Cottage" - peace, quiet and tranquility. We've had everything to revitalise. Just want to stay forever! Thank you.
What Wotif Customers are saying...
Away from it all, perfect location, tranquil, outstanding location, inspiring location, great deal, affordable, fantastic value, reasonable value, pricey, home away from home, top of the line, outstanding facilities, nice facilities, state of the art, outstanding service, go the extra mile, friendly, respectful, professional, spotless, beautiful cleanliness, spick and span, pleasant cleanliness, immaculate.

"...despite the retreat's bush location, guests certainly don't come here to rough it... Wind rustles the native trees, filling the air with the scent of gumtree blossoms, jumping fish splash into the lake and a flock of pelicans fly in low over the water as the sun goes down. Kookaburras encourage us to rise early. Wallabies hop through the bush as we attempt to finish the berries, croissants, muesli and organic milk and yoghurt in our breakfast basket. We don't come close, despite being hungry after our morning bush walk.
Surrounded by Noosa's natural beauty, it feels as if this magical spot is ours alone.

"....you're in a part of Noosa which local would rather keep to themselves..........Welcome to the lesser known part of Noosa tucked away from canal front homes and bustling boutique shopping at Hastings Street. Promotional material for Eumarella says the accommodation is just minutes from the very best of Noosa. Some might argue the point - that Eumarella actually is the very best of Noosa that the rest is just minutes away......"
On a steel grey morning I pushed off from the mangrove shore of Weyba Creek on my stand up paddle board and let the incoming tide carry me across the shallows of the entrance to Lake Weyba.
There was not a breath of wind and the water was like a sheet of glass.I held my paddle parallel to it, and let the tide do the work, not wanting to disturb the tranquility of this beautiful place......
Phil Jarrett's article continues describing the colourful history of Lake Weyba, one of Noosa natural assets.
Good to Go!
Eumarella Shores Noosa Lake Retreat is only a 10 minute drive from the heart of Noosa but its untouched location on the shores of Lake Weyba is a world away from the hustle and bustle of Hastings Street. The retreat’s eight cottages and lakehouses are surrounded by 100 acres of native flora and accessed via a quiet suburban street ending at the edge of the lake. However, guests certainly don’t come to Eumarella Shores to rough it despite the retreat’s bush location.
My husband and I stayed in Gooloowaa, a luxe 3 bedroom lakehouse that had us wishing we were travelling with friends. The expansive deck had a row of bar stools overlooking the lake that alluded to the promise of good times shared, inside there were two huge dining tables, a gourmet kitchen and three bedrooms with the largest having a spa bath that practically screamed ‘romance’...............
We stayed at Gooloowaa for two nights but felt so relaxed by the end of our stay that it seemed like we had been away much longer. Next time we will have to share this wonderful ‘secret spot’ with a couple of friends.
Q Weekend, Frances Whiting
I lived a stone’s throw from Noosa’s Lake Weyba for almost a year without ever knowing its many moods and colours, how it can turn from a shimmer of silver to a deep, dusky pink in a matter of hours. I didn’t know it had its own song, that it could beat wildly against the rocks or whisper among the paperbarks, the way it could lie completely still, its silence broken only by the occasional splash of a fish jumping, I imagine, for joy......For me, breathing in the sights and sounds of Lake Weyba was the highlight, among many, of our stay... THE VERDICT - Lap up the luxury.
Short Breaks Sunday Mail Alison Cotes
I've been to Eumarella Shores before, but Gooloowaa is different from the normal one and two bedroom cottages that line the lake. It's the new five star luxury lodge that hovers over the waters of Lake Weyba with a huge deck for barbecues, adobe walls......and it has equipment that sent out group of six almost wild with excitement......Gooloowaa can be hired for a single couple but I really think's it's too big for just two, who would be better off in one of the smaller cottages, equally luxurious although with fittings not quite as elegant...
Herald Sun – Sue Gough Henly
“Nurtured naturally” Noosa is a haven from development. Noosa is well loved because it has not been loved to death....Staying – for a peaceful place to rest your head, it is hard to go past Eumarella Shores in the heart of flora and fauna reserve on the edge of Lake Weyba.
New Zealand Herald – Graham Reid
“Reflections” – The feeling of a special relaxing moment is the mood that embraces me at Eumarella Shores on the banks of Lake Weyba near Noosa, where I sit with owner Bill Tainsh whose cartoonist father, Doug, drew the famous “Cedric” series for over 50 years, limited edition prints of which adorn the lake-house walls.
We chat about the restful 100 acre family property where many trees are over 200 years old. The following morning the rumble of the ocean rolls across the still lake. Another special moment.
Noosa News - Gail Arnold
It was a grand opening with ballerinas performing to the sounds of a piano accordion and violin against the blue backdrop of Lake Weyba. But it was also a snapshot of Noosa style; an event which celebrated the land and the people who, from the 1970's personified the ethos of our local cultural and environmental spirit.

The Great Escapes – Go for a weekend or stay for a week. They’re our favourite getaways – and they’re right on your doorstep....”
It’s hard to believe, surveying tranquil Lake Weyba from your deck, that Noosa is just a jabiru’s flight over there to the north east. This is pyjamas-or-togs-all-day territory, a private 20 ha lakeside wilderness, seven eco-friendly cottages tucked into the trees.”
(Favourite hand picked getaways of the travel journalists)
Q Weekend Escapes – (Cathy Osmond) – Courier Mail
Nature may provide the serenity but nurture adds sheer luxury to this lakeside haven near Noosa....We considered our options. To enjoy the serenity from our deck, or to hit the walking tracks? Go fishing, or take to the canoe in search of the jabiru? We sipped our plunger coffee in silence. There was no hurry: like the protected species all around us, it seemed we had all the time in the world.

This was a 10/10 experience, I hope you’ll go and test for yourselves…..
Sunday Mail, Discover (Lou Robson)
Enter Eumarella Shores and the real world falls away....It’s beautiful. Eco-friendly buildings, 1950’s beach shacks with a twist....The coastal hideaway is different – a small and private lakeside community just minutes from the ocean.
Sunday Telegraph, UK (Yolanda Carslaw)
A wilderness haven conveniently close to civilisation....the interiors are beautiful; there’s activity and adventure aplenty – think kayaking among pelicans at sunrise, biking to the beach, fishing and bird watching. The scent of eucalyptus is heavenly and you can mellow out with a spa treatment or massage…
